Valentine Tree

Well,  the tree's won out!
I have been debating over whether or not to leave the two  white slim trees up in the kitchen after Christmas      I removed all the Christmas ornaments this morning  .......and the next thing I knew,   I was filling them with Valentine decor!

Before I show you some close ups of the Valentine tree's,   I wanted to share what I did to the stained glass piece hanging in the window next to the bigger tree.    I hung a hand painted metal heart shaped ornament on the existing wreath.

I had some Christmas stuff in the box on the stained glass piece that I took out.    I filled my empty box with a sweet Valentine bird house   (Hobby Lobby 2018)    and a vintage 3d Valentine.

In the chair next to the bigger tree,    I put the pig pillow that was there before I decorated the kitchen for Christmas.

I dressed her up for Valentines Day by adding a  pink bow to her head and putting a garland of hearts around her neck.

Now for some close ups of the Valentine tree.

I made some Valentine ornaments using prints from my Pinterest board.    I'll share the link to my board at the end of the post ....just in case you might need  to print some off to use in your holiday decorating)

I tucked in some pink pom poms and blingy heart fans.

I decorated around the bottom of the tree with pink rose bushes

More hand made Valentine ornaments......

I hung a couple of pink tassels at the bottom and put a pink pick up truck filled with pink heart shaped glass ornaments.

In addition to the heart ornaments,    I hung a few heart cards around my Valentine tree.

These cards are a fun and easy addition to my Valentine tree.......

The printable that you will find on my Pinterest board has an Ace......King......

and a couple of different Queen cards.

You have to look close to see the difference in the cards!

I hadn't seen any Farmhouse style hearts around anywhere......

Then,   I found this printable that looks like metal......

It has a very realistic metal look to it....don't ya think!

  1. So cute. Great idea to just remove the Christmas ornaments from your white tree and add the Valentine's hearts. I might have to try that with my two small white trees. That printout heart really does look like a metal one.

  4. As long as you have the room why not? I have a friend who has a year round tree. She decorates it year round for the various holidays. Mind you hers is a table top, but it is beautiful to see.

  14. I love the trees and other decorations Penny. I leave my white pencil tree up year round and decorate it for each holiday/season etc. Your tree really inspires me to get the Valentine ornaments out and decorate now. Also, I love the little camper and the pink pickup with the hearts. Just lovely!

  15. That looks really pretty. We still have a mini white X-mas tree out. I'm thinking of adding some heart ornaments & Valentine type stuff on it. I haven't decorated for Valentine's Day yet, but soon.

  16. Your Valentine decor is just gorgeous. It lifted my spirits to study your blog! My favorite flowers are pink roses and I always enjoy your blogs. I got a Hobby Lobby winter swan resin sleigh and white marabou feather boas (90% 0ff) and arranged pink and red glitter hearts on top of the boas. That may be my limit! It helps fill the Christmas-is-gone void!
